Summary
SnapZ – Play Store Mockup Maker is a tool for building Play Store screenshot mockups. You sign in with your Google account, and the projects you create are saved to Google Firebase so they are available to you again after login.
The images you pick from your device gallery are not uploaded to our servers. The app stores only the local file path so it can draw the image inside your project. Usage and crash information is collected anonymously through Firebase Analytics to help us fix and improve the app.
The free version is funded by advertising, and an optional subscription removes the ads and unlocks additional features. Payment is handled by Google Play Billing; we never see your card or payment details, and we do not sell your personal data.
| Data | Why it is handled | Leaves your device |

1. Who we are and what this policy covers
SnapZ is published by Pragat Inc ("we", "us", "our"), an independent software studio. For the purposes of the GDPR we are the data controller for this app, and under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the data fiduciary.
This policy covers the SnapZ – Play Store Mockup Maker
Android application distributed through Google Play under the
package identifier com.greenleaf.snap_z. It does not
cover Google Play itself, your Google account, or any other service
you choose to share your finished mockups with.
By installing and using the app you accept this policy. If you do not agree with it, please uninstall the app.
2. Information we collect
Account information. SnapZ lets you sign in with Google Sign-In. When you do, we receive the basic information Google provides about your account:
- your name;
- your email address.
We do not use this information for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.
Project data. When you build mockups in the app we store the content of your projects:
- project titles;
- page data related to your mockups;
- text you add inside projects.
This data is stored securely using Firebase so that your projects are available to you again after login.
Images from your gallery. You may select images from your device gallery to use as app screenshots or as background images. These images are not uploaded to our servers. Only the local file path may be stored, so the app can display the image inside your project. Section 6 explains this in full.
Analytics and diagnostics. We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. This may include:
- app usage statistics;
- feature interactions;
- screen views;
- crash and performance reports.
This information is collected anonymously and helps us improve the app experience.
Advertising information. The free version of SnapZ may display advertisements. The advertising network may collect limited device information, including your device's advertising identifier, in order to display relevant ads, in accordance with its own privacy policy.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- authenticate you when you sign in;
- display your profile information inside the app;
- associate your projects with your account;
- store and retrieve your projects so your work survives logging out, reinstalling or changing device;
- understand in aggregate which features are used, so we know what to work on;
- diagnose and fix crashes and performance problems;
- display advertising in the free version, which is what funds the app being free;
- make your subscription entitlements available to your account.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your name, email address or project content for advertising.
4. Permissions
The app requires network access, which it needs to sign you in, to sync your projects with Firebase, and to load advertising in the free version.
When you add a screenshot or a background image, the app uses the Android photo picker and the platform's media access flow, so you choose exactly which images the app is given. SnapZ does not browse your gallery on its own.
The app does not request contacts, precise location, microphone, SMS or phone permissions.
Where a future version requires an additional permission, it will be listed here and on the Play Store listing before it ships.
5. Third-party services and processors
The app uses the following third-party services, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Role | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Sign-In | Authenticates you and supplies your name and email address to the app. | policies.google.com |
| Google Firebase | Stores your account record and project data, and provides anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting. | policies.google.com |
| Google Play Billing | Processes subscription payments and manages renewals and cancellations. | policies.google.com |
| Advertising network | Serves the ads shown in the free version, using limited device information including your advertising identifier. Ads are served through Google's advertising services. | support.google.com |
| Google Play | Distribution and installation of the app. | policies.google.com |
These providers act as our processors for authentication, storage, analytics and crash reporting, and may store and process data in data centres outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, that transfer relies on the safeguards Google offers under its terms, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where applicable. We recommend reviewing these providers' privacy policies for more information.
6. Your images and project content
This is the part of the app most people want to be certain about, so it is stated plainly.
- Images stay on your device. When you pick an image from your gallery to use as an app screenshot or a background, the app does not upload that image to our servers. We never receive a copy of it and we cannot see it.
- Only the file path is stored. To redraw your mockup the next time you open it, the app may store the local path of the image you selected. A path is a location on your own device, not the picture itself.
- Project content is stored. Project titles, page data and the text you type inside a project are saved to Firebase under your account, because that is what makes your projects available after login.
Because only the file path is stored and not the image, your mockup depends on the original file remaining where it was. If you move, rename or delete that image, or clear your gallery, the app will no longer be able to display it and the mockup will show a missing image. We hold no copy to restore from.
7. Subscriptions and payments
SnapZ offers optional premium subscription plans. Subscribing unlocks:
- unlimited projects;
- unlimited pages;
- access to text styling features;
- an ad-free experience.
Payments and subscription management are handled securely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment details. We receive only the fact that your account holds an active entitlement, so the app can unlock the corresponding features.
Your subscription is a transaction with Google Play, not with us. Renewals, cancellations, price changes and refunds are handled in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel a subscription or issue a refund on your behalf, and we have no access to your card, bank or billing information.
8. Advertising and your choices
The free version of SnapZ is funded by advertising. The advertising network may use your device's advertising identifier and limited device information to select ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to measure performance. Depending on your settings and region, those ads may be personalised to your inferred interests.
You can change this at any time:
- Android 12 and later — Settings → Google → All services → Ads → Delete advertising ID.
- Android 11 and earlier — Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
- Manage preferences online at adssettings.google.com.
Opting out does not remove ads; it means the ads you see are no longer personalised. If you want the ads gone entirely, a premium subscription removes them (see section 7).
9. Data retention and deletion
- Account and project data — retained for as long as you use the app and for a reasonable period afterwards. Email us to have your account and its projects deleted and we will action the request within 30 days.
- Analytics data — retained by Google Firebase under Google's retention settings, and reported to us only in aggregate.
- Images on your device — never held by us, so there is nothing for us to delete. They remain in your gallery and are yours to remove.
- Stop all collection — signing out and uninstalling the app ends any further collection, using the standard uninstall process on your device or through Google Play. Uninstalling alone does not delete project data already stored under your account; email us if you want that removed too.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Project data is stored using secure services provided by Firebase, held in Google-operated infrastructure and protected by that platform's access controls and encryption in transit and at rest. Your password is never handled by the app, because authentication is performed by Google Sign-In.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.
11. Children's privacy
SnapZ is a tool for app developers and designers and is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at the address in section 14 and we will remove the information.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data under laws including the EU and UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including your account record and your stored projects.
- Correction — ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your account and its project data.
- Portability — ask for your data in a machine-readable form.
- Objection and restriction — object to or ask us to restrict particular processing, including direct marketing, which you can refuse at any time.
- Opt out of personalised advertising — see section 8.
- No sale of personal information — we do not sell your personal data.
To exercise any of these, email us at the address in section 14. We do not charge for this and we will not discriminate against you for asking. Because analytics and advertising data is collected by Google rather than by us, some requests are best directed to Google through its own privacy tools. You also retain the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the revised policy will be posted on this page and the "Last updated" date above will change, and the Play Store listing's Data Safety section will be updated to match. Please review this page periodically, as continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
